Your tasks live in your browser. No accounts. No tracking.

Summary

JTask To Do List is a New Tab to-do list that stores your lists in Chrome storage. The extension does not send your data to our servers. We do not run analytics, ads, or trackers.

Data we store

  • Your lists and tasks, including completion status and simple settings
  • Storage location: chrome.storage.local by default, or chrome.storage.sync if you enable sync later

No account is needed. No personal identifiers are collected by the extension.

Data we do not collect

  • No browsing history
  • No keystrokes or form entries outside the extension UI
  • No location data
  • No analytics or telemetry
  • No third party advertising data

Permissions used

  • storage - required to save your lists and settings in Chrome
  • chrome_url_overrides (newtab) - used to show JTask To Do List when you open a new tab

If future versions add optional features like reminders, we may request alarms. Any new permission will be explained in the release notes.

Remote code

JTask To Do List does not use remote code. All JavaScript, HTML, and CSS ship with the extension package.

Retention and deletion

  • Your data stays on your device unless you enable Chrome sync
  • To delete your data you can clear the lists inside the extension UI, or remove the extension which clears its storage
  • You can also clear site data for the extension in chrome://settings/clearBrowserData if needed

Children’s privacy

JTask To Do List is a general utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy for clarity or to reflect new features. Material changes will be noted in the extension listing and in the policy header with a new effective date.
